Nyungwe Forest is one of Africa’s largest, diverse, and most beautiful rainforests. It is a hilly terrain filled with fauna, including a tiny population of chimpanzees and 12 other primate species, such as the L’Hoest’s monkey, which is endemic to the Albertine Rift. Nyungwe National Park is among the most attractive locations in Rwanda for a wildlife safari. It has more than one thousand plant species, exemplifying Rwanda’s rich biodiversity. The forest is the ideal place to search for chimpanzees after tracking mountain gorillas. Other activities in this magnificent forest include the Canopy Walk, which gives the travellers an opportunity to view nature from another perspective and Mountain Biking and Cycling.
